A Weekend Retreat for 6-12 Graders
Get ready for the biggest, craziest, and most awesome weekend of your life! ONE WKND, hosted by Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, is an in-town weekend retreat November 7-10 where students in grades 6-12 stay in the home of a church member with some of their closest friends, study the Bible with guest leaders and enjoy amazing worship sessions at the church. You don’t want to miss out on this weekend filled with tons of fun!
LEADING THE WAY
Anthony Vargas
When Anthony was 16 years old, his life changed forever. After hearing the gospel one Wednesday night, Anthony responded by placing his faith and trust in Jesus. His life hasn’t been the same since.
Hearing the good news as a teenager greatly impacted Anthony’s story. God has now given him the passion for reaching other students with the gospel. Anthony has been serving in student ministry for over 11 years and is currently serving as the Student Pastor at Together We Church in OKC. Committed to equipping others, Anthony shares what he’s learned through his weekly podcast, “Youth Pastor Tips.” Anthony also has a massive desire to coach other Youth Workers and currently coaches eight different Youth Pastors.

Our Johnson Ferry Worship Band and Sing Team is a group of creative people who have been brought into a family by the grace of Jesus. We have the privilege of leading our modern weekly service in worship. We play contemporary music that is engaging and energetic without sacrificing the truth of scripture.

Being a leader for this event is a huge responsibility. We are
looking for leaders who are consistently walking with Jesus and
who have a desire to impact students for Christ. We expect leaders
to be spiritually prepared by studying the curriculum and by praying
for God to speak through you during the weekend.
