Short-term Mission Trips
We send our people on short-term trips across the country and around the world every year. These trips are gospel centered, partner focused, and discipleship oriented. Browse the list below and see which trip God might be leading you to participate in.
National Trips
Clarksville, TN: April 6-9, 2025
Trip members will be serving Cumberland Camp, a Christian camp, in preparation for their Spring and Summer camp programs. This trip is open to families, including those with young children.

sevierville, TN: April 6-11, 2025
The team will return to Wears Valley Ranch, a supported partner, to encourage the staff and children through construction projects and providing meals. The team has construction projects and maintenance plans, along with providing a Ranch-wide dinner and a special “date night” dinner for the 5 house parent couples.

Wasilla, AK:
May 31 – June 6, 2025
The team will work alongside Daystar and two local churches to host a gospel-centered camp. Students are invited through the local churches to attend this camp, which is designed to reach 7th-12th grade students who are native to Alaska. The Johnson Ferry team members will lead small and large group worship as well as assisting in recreation, discipleship, and sharing the gospel.

Miramar, FL: June 8-14, 2025
The team will support Lighthouse Family Retreat, a faith-based, non-profit that exists to strengthen families living through childhood cancer by putting on retreats to help families find hope, rest, joy, and restoration in Christ. Team members will join Lighthouse in putting on a retreat by providing tactical support for retreat activities such as meals, worship times, sessions for parents, and intentional time with families.

International Trips
Ecuador: February 15-22, 2025

Spain: March 19-27, 2025
The team will support a ministry team retreat gathering for a unit of Johnson Ferry Sent Ones. The gathering will be hosted at The Renewal Project alongside Sent One’s Rob and Nancy Chiles. The trip members will be providing worship, teaching, childcare, and overall retreat support, allowing the ministry team to connect with each other, the Lord, and encourage their efforts in North Africa.

Dominican Republic – Family Trip:April 5-12, 2025
Trip participants will be joining a supported partner in assisting a local ministry, Advocates of Love (Defensores de Amor), in reaching the community with the gospel and serving the children in their orphanage. This is not the High School Spring Break Mission Trip.
Uganda: May 2-10, 2025
The team will be teaching seminary style courses through the Bible Training Centre for Pastors, as well as investing in the children within the refugee camps. To do this, they will be partnering with Teaching The Vine, a supported partner of Johnson Ferry.
Columbia:
May 24-31, 2025
The team’s goal is to encourage Johnson Ferry’s partners on the ground in Bogota by joining in the ongoing work of engaging multiple unreached people groups with the gospel through relationship building, sharing Bible stories, meeting physical needs. This will be the second trip to serve alongside IMB and Colombian Baptist partners to minister to displaced members of indigenous people groups living in shelters in Bogota.
Japan Summer Sent Ones: May 18-July 23, 2025
This is a Summer Sent Ones Trip. College students will partner with Johnson Ferry sent ones to engage in disciple-making, outreach, evangelism, and cross-cultural ministry during this 6-7 week trip. The students will be mentored and learn from field workers who are serving in various fields.
South Asia Summer Sent Ones:
May 18-July 28, 2025
College students will partner with Johnson Ferry sent ones to engage in disciple making, outreach, evangelism, and cross-cultural ministry during this 6-7 week trip. The students will be mentored and learn from field workers who are serving in various fields.
Poland Summer Sent Ones:
May 18-July 23, 2025
College students will partner with Johnson Ferry ministry partners to engage in disciple making, outreach, evangelism, and cross-cultural ministry during this 6-7 week trip. The students will be mentored and learn from field workers who are serving in various fields.
Dominican Republic:
June 25-July 3, 2025
The Johnson Ferry team will partner with Operation Matt to work alongside local Baptist church plants to increase their presence in the community by providing a clinic that includes medical and eye examinations. Along with meeting the community’s physical needs, the team will also engage in evangelism and discipleship efforts.
Southeast Asia: July 3-13, 2025
The team will work with partners on the ground to provide training, encouragement, and gospel centered resources for preschool teachers and local believers.
Nicaragua: September 20-27, 2025
The team will share the love and Gospel of Christ in rural communities through various ministry activities with Chosen Children Ministries (CCM) churches. Ministry activities include VBS for children, men’s and ladies’ Bible studies, door-to-door prayer walks and evangelism, feedings, food bag distribution, and home construction.
