Counseling Referrals

Those in need may receive a referral to Christian resources when possible. Sometimes referrals are to medical, secular or government organizations as they may be the best resource for the presenting need, stabilizing a person in crisis so they can receive Christian counseling. A referral to an individual or institution is not an endorsement of that entity by Johnson Ferry. Callers may screen a choice of two or three referrals so they can make their own informed decision about their course of action. All counselors on our referral list are licensed or certified by the state of Georgia, with a few being in professional ministry positions that do not require licensing.

Our Counseling Resource Ministry office is not staffed or designed to operate as a crisis center. True emergencies should call 911 (ask for a Crisis-Intervention Trained Officer or CIT), the Suicide Prevention Hotline 1-800-8255 (TALK), or go to the emergency room of your choice.
